二.Working Principle

At the moment when the tip of the cutter starts to contact the coal, elastic and plastic deformation occurs within the contact range of the tip of the cutter, and as the contact stress increases and exceeds the strength limit, it is crushed into very fine powder to form a dense nucleus, which consists of crushed coal in the state of compression, and with the advancement of the cutting tool, the dense nucleus grows up gradually and gathers energy, and the resistance to cutting also increases. The compacted nucleus squeezes the front layer of coal and causes elastic deformation in this part. Due to the formation of stress state zone around the dense core, it actually plays a role in changing the geometry of the cutter head. When the contact stress of the cutter tooth tip increases to the limit value, the dust in the area in front of the compacting core is ejected at high speed, driving small pieces of stripping.
